As the founder of the Automotive Appraisal and Collection Management company – Veloce Valuations, LLC – Steven Kittrell always has his eyes on the market and a finger on the pulse.
for exclusive collector automobiles originally stems from a grocery store parking lot encounter when he was a child with one of Americas most beautiful automotive offerings of all time: a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe. It’s been a motorsports love affair for Steven since. Originally a collegiate baseball standout, Steven’s entry into the realm of the world’s most exclusive automobile industry first started with a chance encounter at Monterey’s legendary Car Week.
While a student of broadcasting at Menlo College, Steven was providing on-air commentary during the event when he met Ferrari parts and restoration mogul, Ted Rutland. The two formed a fast friendship and a few short months later, Steven was sitting atop T. Rutlands West’s parts distribution empire as the company’s Operations Manager; a position he maintained for over four years. While being an International advertising account executive for Keith Martin’s Sports Car Market Magazine , the collector car world broadened Steven’s expertise, knowledge and experience.
Steven has held several leadership positions in the collector industry. He has proven himself to be successfully automobile professional as a writer, journalist and photographer for publications such as Forza magazine, The Prancing Horse, Ferrari Market Letter, Via Corsa and the Robb Report. Steven has also served as an expert Ferrari Concours Judge, a collection manager, broker, restorer, appraiser and USA Operations Manager for Ferrari restoration and replication house, GTO Engineering in Los Angeles, California.
When not working, Steven is the ‘class-Dad’ for his two daughters Harlow (11) and Ava (7), sharing his passion for not only automobiles but also surfing, hiking and overall wellness while enjoying every inch of the Monterey Peninsula.
